Upstate Atheists is a non profit group with a focus on improving the community and helping those in need. With our Facebook and Meetup pages combined we have over 140 members. This group does volunteer work, runs food drives, takes in donations (clothes and essentials) for those in need, does road side clean up, etc. We are always open to new ideas and love hearing from our members. We meet monthly to discuss our goals and then we put our plans into action. Our monthly meetings are a great opportunity to sit down and speak with people about all topics, including assistance with telling family and friends about your new-found or previously hidden lack of belief. Not only is this a great way to give back to the community, it is also a great place to meet like minded people.
Its that time of year again! Time for the Spring Cleaning Annual Closet Clean Out. This years recipients will be the SAFE Homes Rape Crisis Coalition. They have a thrift store where the women and children can get the essentials they need to start fresh with vouchers. For more information about SAFE Homes Rape Crisis Coalition click here.
